TaxPrepServiceHQ turns public IRS datasets into useful, local tax information. We are not a tax firm and do not provide tax or legal advice.

Data sources

• IRS PTIN FOIA extracts — the public registry of credentialed preparers (CPAs, EAs, attorneys, AFSP participants), refreshed monthly by the IRS.
• IRS SOI individual income tax statistics — ZIP-level counts of returns, AGI, refunds, self-employment income, paid-preparer usage, and VITA filings.
• SimpleMaps US Cities/ZIP database — geographic and population data (free tier, used with attribution).

How pages are generated

City and ZIP pages are generated deterministically from the datasets above — the numbers you see are computed from the raw data, not written by hand. Introductory and advisory text is editorial. Preparer listings reflect self-reported IRS records; inclusion is not an endorsement.

Corrections & takedowns

If you appear in our preparer data and believe a listing is wrong or should be removed, email corrections@taxprepservicehq.com with the listing URL. We honor removal requests.
